A courageous 13 year-old’s dream lives on:
Liz Lulu the founder of Troop Batteries passed away on 5-12-06 at the age of 13. In Liz’s honor & memory her family is dedicated to fulfilling her dream of sending one million AA batteries to soldiers serving in Iraq & other countries overseas. Before Liz died she had collected about 550,000 batteries. But, we are still in need of AA batteries for our Holiday drive.
Liz suffered her whole life with cystic fibrosis, juvenile arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis, yet her goals and dreams were to do something for the troops.
If that doesn’t make you misty,
as I like to call it…nothing will.
